Okay so, we have all been there before, knowing our hair type but not truly knowing it. We have been told so many times that we can only have ONE hair type/texture but is that really true? Its so aggravating because one day your hair is a 4a the next you feel like okay maybe I'm a 3c. Trust me, I have been there and it’s such a headache. But don't believe the hype cause you can definitely have more than one hair type in your head. Yes, I said it not everyone has 1 distinct texture in their head. I know I for sure don’t! My curls are types 2c in some areas 3a-3c in the majority of my head, but 3c in the back of my head cause baby that shrinkage back there is REAL! If you were keeping count that’s 5 different textures in 1 head! Which is pretty normal. Honestly. No one has one type like hello our curls do their own thing 99.99% of the time and none of them are the same! But understanding the range of your type will help you so much in styling your hair. Identify which type is the majority then go from there. Once you identify which type is the majority then think about when your hair is dry how it is( is it moisturized, dry, brittle etc.), for instance my 3a-3b curls are the DRIEST. They're in the middle of my head and the driest and frizziness I experience from those curls especially on day 4 curls is CRAZY! Unlike my 3c curls in the back now those curls are always hydrated. Which is odd to me because I would expect my 3c curls to be drier. Figuring out your type is KEY. Trust me on that one.
